The Parish of Kyneton

The parish consists of St Paul's in Kyneton, St John's in Malmsbury and Holy Trinity in Taradale - probably three of the oldest and most beautiful churches collectively, in Victoria. All are bluestone and all are in service.

They form a trifecta of the first Bishop of Melbourne's dream which was to have a church established one days walk from each other, so that on a walk to the Bendigo goldfields a man would be in touch with the church each and every day.

The first service was held in temporary digs in 1851 in Kyneton - we have been serving the community ever since.
